Some of the objects that make up the cultural heritage of the city are located in the so-called Communal Register of Historic Monuments (monuments which have reference cards of being a monument of architecture and construction or reference cards of parks and cemeteries which are in accordance with the standards set by the National Center for Research and Documentation of Historical Monuments in Warsaw).

Taking into account the four ways of protection of monuments, as provided in the Act on the protection of monuments and the care of monuments, the monuments in the municipal records are protected by two of them: the entry in the registry, or the findings of protection in local spatial management plans.
